All is well...

David appointments went well at Westmead yesterday.

I always feel relieved to hear that he's going well.

And he spoke well to all the potential transplant patients!!

I love him so much...

Transplant Information Day...

D is speaking at the Westmead Transplant Information Day today. After his transplant he said "I'd love to do that one day, to remind people that there is always hope". Here he is. He was diagnosed Feb 20th 2007!! Here he is Feb 2010 & he had walked such a long hard road...praying he's a blessing & encouragement to everyone there.

We were both TERRIFIED about what lay ahead when we went to this info day years ago. Our GP drove us in for moral support & D's best mate was there...he threw up on the way home from the fear churning around inside him...

He also has a check up today. I never get TOO nervous on these days, but there's always a very small voice in the back of my mind reminding me that "things can happen". It's been such a huge journey, & it continues on. It's not like having a growth cut out, you get hit with some drugs & then there is a recovery time...this is a "new" kind of normal in a new body with new issues & a new quality of health...it's been very eye opening. Yet D is going incredibly well considering what a HUGE ordeal he's been through & some people don't get through to this point...
